Tec2Care isn’t just our name. It’s our ethos.
We believe in giving back to the community and reconnecting with the people around us. Our culture may have moved on from large families all living together and having a local grocer you’ve known for years, but when it comes to wellbeing, you can’t beat feeling like part of a community.
In addition to our care services, we also strive to connect people with new friends and service providers in the local area. We hold regular events and coffee mornings in local villages and support the unsung heroes who act as a loved one’s primary carer.
Whether you’re looking for care, want to make new friends, or run an independent business in Rushcliffe, you’re in the right place.
Our story
Tec2Care is pioneering a new approach to homecare. Our founder, Stacey Danby, has held a variety of roles in the care sector, from delivering care herself to becoming a registered manager, providing consultancy, being a nominated individual and running training courses. She realised there was an opportunity to combine the power of technology with outstanding wellbeing support to create truly holistic, person-centred care that doesn’t intrude on our way of life.
Our values
We want to be Rushcliffe’s most trusted and innovative home care provider, creating a community of care in this rural setting where many people are at risk of feeling isolated. To do that, we imbue our values into everything we do:
caring for everyone based on
kindness and respect
inclusion and
independence
responsibility for ourselves
and each other
collaborating creatively
with the wider support network
listening to the people we care for
and their families
empowering and encouraging everyone
to feel happy and confident
What makes us different?
It all comes down to wellbeing. Technology Enabled Care means we can proactively monitor someone between visits to keep them safe and prevent injury. Traditional homecare is focused on completing tasks in a specific timeframe, which doesn’t leave much space to check in with how someone is really feeling. We already know the basics of how someone is before we visit, so we can jump straight into having more meaningful conversations. We take flexibility beyond simply giving you the power to choose when and how often we visit – that’s a given.
Flexibility to us means responding to real life situations, listening to your loved one’s needs, and being a little more human. It’s not natural for everyone to wake up at the same time every day or to eat the same five meals – that’s putting convenience ahead of wellbeing, and we’re not here for it.
Instead, we follow an established model
called the Five Ways to Wellbeing:
Connect
always listen to people and help them maintain connections with those who matter to them.
Take notice
understand what makes people happy, give them the time and effort they deserve and ask how they’re feeling.
Give back
everyone has something positive to contribute and they deserve our full focus and attention.
Keep learning
ask people if they’d like to rediscover old interests and skills or learn new ones, and help them achieve this.
Be active
help build confidence and overcome fears around falling to encourage safe and appropriate exercise.
