A day in the life with Care2Communities

By Care2Communities | February 15, 2023 | Wellbeing

We understand that no two people are the same. That’s why we provide flexible home care in Rushcliffe that ensures the right level of care for every individual. Our care combines the use of assistive technology and personal connection to improve mental health, increase independence, and enrich every resident’s quality of life. Read on to learn more about our homecare services and how our packages are designed to provide the best support possible.

Home care that works for you

Traditional home care is focused on completely domestic tasks and providing personal care within a specific timeframe. Realising that this type of care didn’t leave much room for social or emotional check-ins, we designed our care packages differently. Our subscription packages each contain a certain number of wellbeing calls per week, in-person support hours per month, and the use of Technology Enabled Care to proactively monitor health and wellness. You remain in complete control of when we visit each week and the allocated support hours can be used flexibly throughout the month. This ensures you receive the care you want when you want it. A day in the life with us can look different with our subscription packages.

Maple  Package

Susan is an active, 75-year-old woman whose partner recently passed away. Apart from adjusting to her new life without her partner, Susan is healthy and fit. Her daughter and son visit every week with their children but they worry about their mother now that she is living alone. Thanks to Tec2Care, they can enjoy peace of mind knowing that their mother’s safety is being monitored 24/7.

Willow Package

Steve, on the Willow package, is having his Tec2Care sensors fitted today. Our Technology Lead arrives and instals the small device in his kitchen. Once the device is installed, Steve makes a pot of tea and takes a nap before making his lunch. At 5 pm he receives his first reminder call to remind him to take his new medication with dinner – just as well, the local football team is playing tonight, and it had almost slipped his mind!

Chestnut Package

One of our Wellbeing Assistants receives a notification that Mary hasn’t been in the kitchen to make her breakfast. Mary usually eats before 10 am. Our Wellbeing Assistant knows that Mary has designated her daughter as the first point of contact so she drops the daughter a text to check she’s received the alert – she has, and her mum is in bed with a cold. The daughter wants to be the one to pop round. Mary is on the Chestnut package and she’d appreciate our Wellbeing Assistants doing the shopping that week during the designated support hours.
