How does Tech Enabled Care work?

By installing a small sensor in the kitchen, we’re able to track your loved one’s safety without intruding upon their private life. This is nothing like a ‘Big Brother’ device. Rather, the sensor device can learn your loved one’s typical routine such as when they usually cook their meals, how often they turn the kettle on, and when they tend to wash up. This information allows us to build an idea of what your loved one’s day looks like. When something out of the ordinary happens a family member, one of our Wellbeing Assistants, or both will be alerted.
Is Technology Enabled Care safe?
Our Tec2Care device is fully GDPR compliant. You can rest assured that your loved one is not being watched or listened to. In addition, no data is being captured without their consent. It’s helpful to think of our Tec2Care device as similar to a streaming platform that recommends films you may like based on previous choices. As Tec2Care builds up a picture of your loved one’s habits, it will become better at sensing when something is off so that appropriate help can be provided. Our devices come with a 3-year battery life and operate on a low-powered wide area network so that no mains or Wi-Fi connection is required to power the device.
